Boosted323, I think he’s as crazy as we are about m52tu/m54 performance. His car is currently under construction. Pics of the progress can be found in his gallery. He has the rear subframe reinforcement kit, it looks more robust than my TMS setup. And more cleanly installed. I’ve never seen welds so clean on metal so thin.

We haven’t installed as much as we’ve just disassembled. This was caused to a late start, but we made progress nonetheless. The oil pan and power steering pump are undone. Sure, these steps aren’t required to accomplish this turbo kit’s install, but I need to mend a bolt, and this is also for further certainty of avoiding metal in the motor.

I’ve decided to make my own faux-suede boots similar to the ever so popular “alcantara” I’ve put together a couple with black stitching, and then went on to test my skills with a multi-colored stitching similar to that awesome ///M theme! What do you think? $25 for black, $30 for multi-color, shipping included!

So the next few weeks are going to be a bit busy for us. I just got a peek at the the main mod of Julio’s car, and it does look promising. The car is going to be completely different, though nothing will really be noticeable from the exterior! Following those mods I’ll also hopefully be doing an LSD swap in to my car with the first unit from a company new to BMWs. However, I’ll start off later this evening with a basic oil change.

So I bought an engine hoist, 119.99 isn’t bad at all, but at first, no hardware. It was returned. Now, just incomplete hardware. They better fix things today. On a happier note, the NickG kit has arrived; things will be underway shortly. Today, I ship the DME to Nick for flashing.
